I was watching Guns and Ammo TV and they were shooting Just Right carbines in .40 caliber, I am more a .45acp guy. they are built as an AR frame, anybody have one, shoot one or been around them. their price is about $600 plus depending on caliber I guess, only seen them flat top, seem like a good close quarter rifle with irons.

I've never even seen one of these, but based on the information on their website, I think that the possibility of the user over inserting the magazine is a design flaw in that the design does not lend itself to rapid reloads.

Of course, I haven't had my hands on one, so I don't know that this would be a problem in practice.

the Guns and Ammo show said they used Glock magazines, I have priced a few tonite, not a bad price from high 500s to mid 600 dollars, might look into one but would like irons on it.

They have serious feeding problems!

I cannot shoot factory 45ACP period! ANY BRAND!
The bolt slams shut too aggressively and tends to stove pipe the fresh round. The stove piped round is then punctured by the bottom of the bolt face.

The only way this rifle feeds reliably is if I take factory ammo and pull the bullets, reduce the powder charge by 0.4 grains. And reseat the bullets. After this, the modified factory ammo works flawlessly!

My cast bullet 230 Round nose works great with 4.2 grains of Trailboss. The carbine has worked flawlessly for 200 rounds.
If I bump up the charge to 4.5, it will jam every 10-15rounds or so. It will dothis with EVERY powder I have. The charges need to be some where near the half way point for a given powder charge window.

The velocities are close to a normal pistol at these charges.

I have tried: Bullseye
W231
TrailBoss
Clays
Unique
Herco
700X

Have any of you guys experienced this?

Other than this feeding problem, I really like the Carbine!

Isn't the price of the JR pretty darned close to that of the Beretta carbines? If so, that would be a no brainer for me.

Wow, the prices on the Storms have really gone up. They must be more popular than I thought.

There was one for rent at the range I used to work at, the bolt cracked within 2 weeks. There was also something else wrong with it, I forget what, it was kind of overshadowed by the bolt cracking.
