With all the garbage going on in the world, it's refreshing to come here and exchange information, ideas and experiences with other like minded individuals.

Just wanted to thank you THR for being a stable platform in today's world.

I completely agree. When I want answers I come here. There are some local gun forums and I know many of the guys on it, but there's a wealth of experience here and it's virtually always on point.
 
I agree. This is one of the few places left where one can have a discussion or topic without the rudeness or foul language found on some other sites. I can bring my 13 year old nephew here to show him things without looking at 'bleep, bleep bleep". 'Tis a good forum.
 
I post on other forums but none compare to THR. The people are nice and respectful and usually.
I found that the people that are rude on other forums, really don't know their a$£ from a hole in the ground. When I see people getting bashed for an opinion on their first AR build, I PM them about coming to THR.
AR15.com is the worst....
 
Sharing information is a group effort. Continue to make it better by refraining from offering up info unless you're certain it's correct. There's a time and place for sharing opinions, just recognize when those are and aren't before you. Into blowing smoke up people's rear ends or letting everyone know how much you "know?" Do it elsewhere. If I had a nickel for all the "information" I learned about guns from people who didn't know wth they were talking about, I'd be a rich man.

Age disclosure; back when I 1st started looking around for info, there was a close friend, the local ma & pa gunshop, and Outdoor Life. THR is a VAST source of data, the posts are in depth, clean, and Mods aren't overlords...most likely because of the quality of persons on the boards.

I concur with the OP!
 
It is the members that make THR what it is today. It is the members that use the report button to alert us to the presence of a post or thread that is not in keeping with our values. It is the members that are our eyes and ears, we just sweep up. So, thank you for keeping THR on The High Road.

My feelings exactly. Many other places where guns are discussed are very uncomfortable for an old lady new to shooting. I have already learned so much here in only a couple of months. I'm very happy to have found THR. :)
