KA-BAR for Christmas

I got new KA-BAR for Christmas and so far it has been great! Anyone else love this legendary knife?

Ka-Bar is a good knife.

I like my SOG Seal Pup Elite better.
(I no longer carry the Ka-Bar.)

Also,traded the Benchmade Osborne
for a Spyderco Manix 2.

Again, the Ka-Bar is a good knife.

But I still carry the SOG.

Did you get their version of the USN MkII the USMC model or the updated Fighting/Utility Knife or something else?

One of my favorites. I have my '60s USMC Ka-Bar along with my Ek edge & 1/2 now in a shadow box, they both served their time and nothing fancy but important to me.

I got the full on 8 in tanto for Christmas. I love it.

It is next to me at the computer desk.

I watch TV with it in my hands.

I love this knife.

I picked up the D2 Fighter/Utility a couple of years ago.

I got one for Christmas a couple years ago. My pacifist uncle gave it to me as a joke.... I guess that backfired.

My first choice in Iraq was my Ka-Bar. Till they told me I wasn't allowed to carry it anymore because it was too intimidating. YES. I am 100% serious that I was told that and subsequently ordered not to carry any type of fixed blade knife.

Screw em. I did anyways (and bought bigger Ka-Bars). Everyone knew I was a knife nut and I use to sharpen my friends knives for favors...extra rations, soap, anything. Even sharpened the Battalion Commander and Command Sergeant Majors knives. So nobody said anything else .

Yep. I carried an M-16 btw on my back, but main carry was a SAW with a spare barrel, 200rnd box and 2x spare 200rnd boxes. (nobody wanted to be my AG, so I said i'll carry it myself dangit). Thats + my M-16 and 7 full magazines.
