I wouldn't get rid of mine, but I'm more used to a neck knife now. The TDI is really a nicely done knife though.

well, it's very practical....and exactly like the website says....last ditch effort.....makes me feel cooler too!!!

I seem to have accumulated 3 of them. I hate the sheaths, but they really are nice little knives.

After doing a cosmetic overhaul of mine (including stripping the black coating off), I can say that the steel is pretty poorly finished. There is a lot of ugly hiding under that thick black paint.

I still love it, but knowing what I do now about how they are made, I wouldn't get another one unless it was on sale.

To me this is like betting on a fighter based on how pretty his face is. Non-overlapping magisteria...

Why would you finish it up pretty when you're going to coat it? It needs somewhat of a rough surface for the coating to grab on to.

I'm not saying I don't like them, or that they should make them any differently. My point is that I think they are too expensive at retail for the amount of work that went into them.

I have one I bought for $15 from a friend. I strap it on when I'm not wearing work clothes (very seldom,) because it rides well on my hip and back pocket. Otherwise it rides in my center console, sheath secured so I can reach in and pull it if necessary.

I want to buy a trainer for it to work it into my SD training, but I'll be darned if i'm paying that kind of price for a lump of steel that doesn't cut anything.
