Does anyone have this gun yet or ordered it?

What is the going price?

How do you expect it to compare with the other pocket 380s of P3AT and LCP?

From what i see this now will be the third major selling truly POCKET 380,anyone heard of other makers to come out with a pocket 380?

I wanted one but after seeing and handling a Micro Desert Eagle I changed my mind and put down a deposit on the next one they get.

It has taken so long for Kahr to get the P380 out that I'm concerned they may have problems with it.

The Micro Desert Eagle (Kevin) is a proven design and a little less expensive than I expect the P380 to be.

Kahr 380
KelTec P3AT
Ruger LCP
Seecamp LWS380
NAA Guardian 380
Beretta Tomcat (or is this a .32?)
Jimenez JA380
Cobra CA380
Magnum Research ME380

Bender ,Thanks and you know your stuff

Seacamp and NA i never see anywhere and one of em or both of them are expensive

Tomcat is a 32 like you said

Everyone says to me that JA and Cobras are not built for long term

koka: Hell kel tec has been over 2 years since introducing their wonder RFB rifle, which to this day is still not available to the public. I don'tthink kahr has issues, but I have critricized any company for introducing a product and then not being able to ship. That is pure b.s. Kahr is 10 months over due since introduction, not excusable IMO. There sure is a size different in the P380 kahr and the mini desert eagle and a big difference in weight to. If the mini desert eage is a proven design, then certainly the kahr P380 has to be, it is an exact miniature of the PM9 and all the PM models and they certainly have proven themselves. I think I will wait on the karh, waited this long, have my lcp to hold me over and my PM9 which is my 24/7 carry peace anyhow. When you get that mini eagle be sure and give us a good review, another entry into the mini field of pocket rockets is always nice to see. Just gives a shooter so much more options, where as a few years ago, we didn't seem to have that many ..

jocko I would not have ordered the Micro Eagle had I not done research on it and found that it is has proven reliability in europe where it's sold under the name Kevin.

If you get to handle one I think you'll be impressed with it's quality.

As for size, the Micro is almost an inch shorter than the P3AT although it is slightly thicker.

The Micro has a stainless slide and aluminum frame making it less prone to rust in the pocket.

desert eagle micro 4.52" length
DE Micro thickness .90
DE Micro weight empty 15.4 ounces

Kt380 5.2" length
Kt 380 thickness .77
kt weight empty 8.3 ounces

Ruger lcp 5.16 length
Ruger lcp thickness .82
Ruger lcp weigth empty 9.6 ounces.

the biggest difference I see is the DE weighs almost twice. my bet is that the barrel is noticable shorter also than either. Might be a great gun, give us some feed back. My kahr PM9 weighs empty 14 ounces empty and is 5.6:" length, it rides in my front pocket with ease, so the DE Micro should fit you well.

Re:p380

Update: I contacted Kahr and they said they were shipping the p380 in LIMITED quantities. To translate, it will be a while, but they did ship one...:D I'm still waiting :banghead:

Jock, the RFB is out, just not in a usable length (32" still not available, no ship date set). Still looking for those too :cuss:

Nice "speed reload" the guy does on the youtube clip. Lets a mag drop on the cement floor to perform that QUICK reload. Is it just me or did he not only have time to take it out with his hand and not let it drop, probably could have reloaded it to!

Maverick, un less they released the RFB today, IT IS NOT OUT... Period. and it has been now over 2 years..

I do not think that desert micro eage is being imported. I see no way it can pass the points required for legal importation. My bet it is made right here in the U. S. somewhere.

Jocko,
You could be right. Mag. Research may have bought the rights to manufacture the guns here. As long as it is still fundamentally the same gun, I want one.

:)

Kahr/ Micro Eagle

I have not seen the Kahr in our local shops either.

I did get to handle the Micro Eagle.
Nice stout little metal gun, BUT If you are looking I suggest you handle one first as many of us in the shop would not be able to use one due to the rear of the slide slicing the top of the hand!
YMMV, just check that out first to be sure you fit the gun so to speak.

I have owned and used Kahrs, KT, and LCP so I am familiar with that size of pistol, but none of them would require me to carefully place the web of my thumb like the small Eagle and it's sharp slide edge.
(the factory even has a warning tag on it)

Just my .02

Pistol, did you not see the deep recess for the web of your hand in the Micro grip?

Seems to me you would have to be careless and have really huge hands to get nicked with the design of the Micro grip.
