The staff at the local gun store informed me that an 8 round Kahr mag would fit in my Kahr PM9. The PM9 comes with the standard 6 and 7 round mag. There is a larger Kahr model (also 9mm...but can't recall the name of the exact model) that has a 8 round capacity clip.
The guys at the store said that the 8 round mag would work and I thought that was a great idea as a spare mag. (Use the 6 round mag for daily carry...and the 8 round mag as back up.) After firing 400 rounds...noticed that twice I had FTF issues with the 8 round mag.
The FTF occured mid way through the mag capacity. Any possible explanations? Is there an inherent structural weakness going with the 8 round mag?
The first FTF occured around the 250 rounds...pass the 200 break in period.
The second FTF occured around 350th round shot.
Both FTF occurred with that 8 round mag. Other than that, the gun is very pleasant to shoot, very accurate, and reliable.
