I have had my PM9 for about six months and have put about 300-400 rounds thru it. I just got my pierce mag extention along with the Agrip which has made the pistol feel wonderful. I recommend these two to anyone that owns a Pm9. Today i decide to it to the range to try the new accessories. After about 50rnds, i was practicing double taps, and i noticed that sometimes the trigger has not reset and can be pulled back with no effort.

At first I thought maybe I am not releasing the trigger all the way. So i decided to shot single shots slowly and release all the way. Well, still 1-2 shots out of 10 even would full release of the finger of the trigger would not reset, almost like if you dry fired the weapon and did not pull the slide back to reset the trigger. I would have to keep pulling the trigger and releasing repeatedly and eventually it would engage and i would feel the resistance of the normal trigger. I hope what i am describing makes sense to you guys. Is this a common problem? Should it be sent back to Kahr or could it be an easy fix. Thank you.

I don't know much about the mechanics that go along with the workings of the pistol, but I would definitely send it back to Kahr for repair, especially if it's your carry gun.

The Kahr Arms trigger mechanism is an extremely simple design, so reset problems are something seriously out of order.

You might try cleaning the frame out and getting some fresh lube into the trigger assembly, but I'd opt for sending it back to Kahr.
A personal defense weapon is nothing to take chances with.

Just had the same problem with a low round count pistol of the same model?
What was your outcome?

I read something about this somewhere on another forum. They sent it back into Kahr and got it back in 3 weeks with a new trigger. Maybe give them a call as they do stand behind their product from what I have read. Good luck!

Ah, yes, another failure of a new Kahr poly pistol. Sounds very familiar, doesn't it? :scrutiny:

(I bought a new Kahr P9 about a year and a half ago and, yes, I had to send it to Kahr a couple of weeks later to fix a chronic jamming problem. It works now, but I'll never buy another one. I think new Kel-Tecs have a better reliability rate than Kahrs.)

Well i had not cleaned the gun since the last time I had it at the range. I thought before I send it back to Kahr, i give it a good cleaning. Cleaned the gun well, and took it to the range and shot about 150rounds without any trigger problems:) I am not sure if the cleaning was the issue or not, but I am keeping a close eye. If it happens again, its going back to Kahr.
