I got this gun the other day for $245.00 plus shipping. I was hoping to get one with the "Star of David", but this will do for now. It shoots really well with no problems. I finally got enough ammo to play with it some. I will atempt to add some pictures to this post. All three serial numbers match, which makes me very happy.

Nice find, looks like a bonafide Hi-Power to me. Great price considering what other serviceable double-stack 9mm pistols are going for these days.

Oh, and welcome to THR.:)

There are some Mossad trade in Tanfoglio Witintess pistols floating around. The ones I've seen have all been in pretty used shape, but very cool. They all say Mossad on them and have the star.

The Kareen HP clones are supposedly finished/assembled in Israel from Hungarian FEG parts. I also have that same earlier model that you have and really like it in my HP collection. Good price.

FWIW, you do realize those "Mossad" TZs weren't really Mossad issue, it's just a marketing gimmick.

The Kareen Hi-Power looks pretty good, especially at that price. I have seen rougher looking used FM's and FEG's going for more than that.

Wow, I thought I got a good deal at $269 + the gun show admission fee!

Where did you find yours?

I got it from sarcoinc. They have them advertised on their web page, but it says to call for availability. I must have called a couple of days a week for over a month until they had two in stock. I bought it sight unseen. They also did an excellent job with their company stamp. I just got my 3 extra 13 rd magazines in the mail from sarcoinc. 3 or more were $14.99 each. Now if I could only find some more ammo, cheap. When they have it, Federal Target $13.97 for a box of 50 at Walmart.

Kareen israel after bluing

Really happy with the bluing job I got from a gunsmith in Waldo, Florida. What a difference a little controlled rust can make. Look at my post from March 14 and see the change.

When I looked at the old pictures, I thought there were areas pitted, they are all gone! Nice looking HP for a wonderful price.

I know, old thread - but I just picked up one just like this and was researching info here about them. Pretty impressive, looks like a quality pistol, haven't fired it yet. Excellent condition.

I had an FEG PJK-9HP and deeply regret selling it. It never gave me a bit of trouble.
