I have had a friend ask me about a custom Karl Kormes Mauser, and I can't find ANYTHING on this rifle. It also says Leipzeig, which makes me wonder if it is from a cold-war or older custom house in former East Germany. It has double-set triggers, some gold and engraving, he's not sure what it's chambered in.

Is it a find, or junk?

My buddie picked up a 8mm a while back that had been sporterized. It too has the double set triggers. The bottem metal has locking screws or double screws front and back and it has a flat bolt handle. Also has some different engraving.

Odds of it being "junk" are pretty slim. If it's anything like the one in the waguns thread, I wouldn't mind having it. Brass is expensive, but available. Dies are available. Bullets are more-than-available. :) That's all assuming it's chambered in 8x64S, which is quite likely.
