About 2 weeks ago my p32 would not chamber a round. The rear of the firing pin was peened so badly that it was stuck fully forward. Thank God it didn't chamber otherwise I might have had a slam fire.

No problem, as I called k/t and they sent me a new firing pin and a new f/p spring which I installed today.

Since most if not all k/t pistols use the same mechanism it might not be a bad idea to take out the firing pin and spring, examine it, clean out the f/p hole and if it's not peened you're good to go. Just be careful as the f/p wants to fly out when the screw is loosened so keep it covered.

Funny, but about a month ago, after 3000-4000 rounds, my P32 FP broke in half on round #1. It wasn't peened, but it did break. KT sent me a new one and all is well.

Kel Tec guns are meant to be carried a lot and shot very little from what I was told at their factory in Cocoa Beach FL when I visited them a few years ago. They told me the average lifespan is only 6,000 rounds..... now factor in high pressure ammunition and that number gets much lower I would say.

I have a Generation One P32 that I carried on a dog tag chain around my neck in deep cover. I had to use it once and it saved my bacon.
