Ok, so they aren’t really changing the name but in about 60 days they will offer followers & springs to upgrade existing 10 round magazines to 12 rounders. I have purchase some of their 12 round LEO magazines but I’m glad to know I can modify all my others 10s to 12 rounds on the cheap.

Are the LEO mags prominently marked? I'm thinking I want to get at least one of every kind I can find in the hopes they become collectors' itmes and no such foolishness is allowed to happen again!

Just good customer service

The only changes will be, the follower & spring from the old Kel-Tec P-40 will be sold to the public, so owners of the P-11 can upgrade without the expense of a new magazine.

There is no change in the pistol or magazine body. The design of the P-40 magazine follower was without legs and a hollowing out of the follower base to permit the spring to seat there. The 12 round 9mm LE magazine simply used the P-40 follower and spring in a standard 9mm magazine.

For awhile I had one of those misbegotten P-40 conversion kits for my P-11, and, naturally, had the 40-cal magazine to go with it. Never did get it to feed properly in .40 (Kel-Tec finally bought it back from me) but the .40 mag fed 9mms beautifully, and, as stated, held 12 rds.

Legal, too, even back then. As long as the magazine wasn't altered so that it wouldn't feed the ammo it was originally designed for, it wasn't illegal.

FWIW, got rid of the Kel Tec after it physically broke for the 3rd time. :cuss:
