I am going to start seriously shopping for a P-11 this weekend. My plan is to buy a blued model (unless I find a deal on the hard chrome) and send it off immediately for hard chroming and night sights at Kel-Tec.

Anyone have the factory night sights? What do you think?

If I order a trigger shoe at the same time, will Kel-Tec install that as well?

Is it best to send the whole gun or just the slide?

Thanks for the input.

Buy from CDNN.

Otherwise, send only the slide. (Costs a lot less, as the slide isn't required to go by UPS or Registered mail, through FFLs, etc.)

The trigger shoe takes about 30 seconds to install.

If you haven't already done so, visit the Kel-Tec Owners Group at WWW.ktog.org, and then visit the TEC-WORKS area of that site.

If you send your future blued P11 in for chroming, they might put on the trigger shoe if you ask, but there is really little need. When I sent in mine for the chrome upgrade, I ordered the shoe and a few other bits. It took me all of two minutes to install the shoe.

Don't know about the night sights.

Might consider a grip extender too. Just in case you don't know the cost of the chrome, it is $20.00, best deal around.

Some trigger shoes are prone to coming loose over time. This link is useful. I just used the drill bit to make some holes for the screws to sink into & then used a little Loctite. Has stayed on securely & can be removed.

As above.

The KT installed night sights are a good deal at $80 installed, and they're under warranty. All they need is the slide.

I thought about night sights for my P-11, but just never got around to it. Others I know are happy with them.

I agree with the other posters who suggested CDNN, I got my blued P11 from them a couple months ago and they are very easy to deal with. $220 including shipping to AK.
