I was excited about the new Kel Tec P17 until I saw a picture of it. I was fairly disappointed in its looks. I guess somehow I thought they would make it look more like the PF-9 which is a good looking gun.
I agree. I wanted one of those Twisted Industries conversion kits for my PF9, but didn't want to pay $200 just for an opportunity to take my EDC out of service to plink. For less than the cost of the kit, I went with a secondhand Taurus PT22 instead. Dang good gun.
I ended up with a Ruger SR-22 and am happy with it. I was looking at the Twisted Industries conversion kit too but also couldn't justify the price for part of a gun. Same reason I didn't buy a Tactical Solutions Paclite upper for the Ruger 22/45.
