Kel-tec Plr-16

If I need to carry, I would use a 10 or 20 round mag, and a trench coat or sweatshirst oversived...
And hopefully you'll hit the BG with the first round, because after that you'll be blind and deaf (and the deaf part might be permanent)!

I’ve shot .22 pistols that have as much muzzle rise as a PLR using the factory muzzle break

That's cuz it IS a .22 pistol. :D. You never said 'LR'.
(What a wise-ass)

Boy, I want one, but I just don't think I will have a spare $600.00 bucks around anytime soon to buy one...

What's that? Speak up, why don'tcha? :p

If you're blind and deaf - what about the BG? He's getting 100% of the flash, 100% of the noise... and if you don't use the muzzle break, you may catch him on fire. :D

Don't have much use for one of these culprits myself, but I always enjoy these PLR-16 threads, 'cause:

(1) I enjoy M2 Carbine's pics and his enthusiasm; and

(2) The PLR-16 is the #1 most politically incorrect firearm to be marketed to the general public since the lapse of the 1994-2004 AWB. (The FNH PS90 comes in second.) Just look at it, esp. with the fore-end guard, red-dot optic, big ol' curved 30-round mag, and sling. That is a (perfectly legal) middle finger at the NFA if I ever saw one.

I give Kel-Tec props for that.

The PLR has a huge fun factor. The last never-touched-a-gun, 82lb, 13yo girl that we took to the range ran 90 rounds of ammo through my PLR in less than 5 minutes usually keeping multiple shell casings in the air at once. The only other guns she really liked were Glocks and a 50yo 9 shot JC Higgings 22 revolver.

Wilson 17&26, I've found the same thing of most women. Of all the guns I bring to shoot, from .22lr to .50BMG, the big hit is the PLR in .223. I think it's the enormous BOOM and flash.

Looks pretty unwieldy and heavy to be used as a pistol, too big to conceal, and the lack of a stock makes me wonder how accurate it is at long ranges unless you're resting it... the idea of holding it out rifle-style to shoot through a scope or red dot reminds me of shooting a Super Soaker or a paintball gun or a PGO shotgun or something and seems pretty awkward.

I guess I just don't see a point. I want to, because they're damned cool, I just don't.

See if you can find someone that owns one, shoot it a few times. You'll understand.

I handled one at the show in Tampa this weekend. They are lovely. I was wanting to buy a SU-16c next, but these have me thinking.

Yes, the fact that they are a liberals worst nightmare makes them score very high on my list.

P. Plainsman: I don't want to segue the thread--but, for you and Evenflo76, you can get nearly as much liberal beard-pulling done with a SU-16C, especially if you put a green laser sight on it.

Show it to them folded, and then demonstrate quickly unfolding the stock. Later today I'm going to try fitting the Kel-Tec single point sling hardware to the 16C--then I can demonstrate how it hangs under my topcoat---:D

Now if you really want to get an anti-gun liberal's blood pressure to peak this little machine will do the job.:D

I think the PLR still takes the cake.

That's one of the things I love about KT.
