Anyone know any reson why the Kel Tec SU16 would not be permitted in MD?

right now it and the Beretta CX Storm are good for MD sales

wait and IF they pass this years MD AWB and come Sept 14th they could be considered un saleable in the Free State

Both are not on the current list of guns (which was cribbed from CAs AWB)
But by attributes they are Quinter/Garagiola evil.

Agreed...it looks evil....all the more reason to buy it.

No one around here carries them....I'd like to get my hands on one to see if it fits. I'm torn between this and the AR180b.

theres a Frederick Gun Show coming up next Month

Alan at the Gun Rack in Burtonsville should stock such a black & tactical item

AR-180B, Engh...

I don't know anything (other than what I have read) about the SU16, but I am less than impressed with the AR-180B. Maybe that's because I owned and loved a 70s Howa AR-180, but they went a little further in redesign than was needed for legality (takedown is hard now) the whole thing is rough (not finely finished inside or out), and the triggers on all the ones I've seen are atrocious. I really wanted to like it based on maker and the original design, but it just wasn't there when last I looked.

I also am compelled to say, jumping up to .308 (FAL for me) wasn't as big a move as far as weight and recoil as I suspected. If those are available (don't know your restrictions) I encourage you to look into those as well.

Wild Alaska,

You caught me:p I've been looking around MD for one for a couple of weeks. I'll PM you this evening about the SU16

shoobe01,

Too bad that you had a bad experience with the AR180. I'm going to check out one at our MD THR rifle shoot next weekend. I'll be sure to quiz the owner about his experiences with it......he's not looking to sell it to me so I'm sure he'll be straight up on his opinion.

I tell ya'...this rifle purchase thing is tough.....for every person who has had a good experience with a rifle....seems there's an equal number who have had a bad one....

Masybe I'll just get the Garand and call it a day:neener:

White Marsh Arms on Reisterstown Road has an SU16

Really? Any idea what they were asking for it? Knowing them, it's probably $700:p

May have to take a field trip this afternoon.....

No idea how much it costs, but at least you get to play with it. LeadPumper says it has a nice trigger, but I didn't get a chance to play since I was chasing my little one all over the store.

Send that bill to...

THE NRA BLACKLIST BALL
Grand Hyatt Hotel, Saturday, May 8, 8:30pm

On the eve of the Mother's Day March to Halt the Assault, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence united with the Million Mom March is hosting the NRA Blacklist Ball, a fundraising event to recognize and celebrate the individuals and organizations who have been "blacklisted" by the NRA for their stance on helping to create an America free from gun violence.

The NRA is up to their usual extremist antics, supplying members with a list of celebrities, organizations, and national figures who support sane gun laws. We've highlighted the NRA's extremism and paranoia with the websitewww.NRAblacklist.com.

And now we are going to have some fun with it!

Join us at the Blacklist Ball for dessert, dancing, a silent auction, and great entertainment, with emceeing by comedian Richard Belzer (from TV's "Law and Order: SVU" and "Homicide").

Individual tickets are $150 before March 12 and $200 afterwards. There are also sponsorship packages, which include tickets, ranging from $1,000 to $75,000.

Who knew that being on a Blacklist could be such a Ball? To buy tickets for the Ball, call Amy at (202) 338-6100, extension 122. Check back here for a link to purchase tickets online.

To donate items to the Silent Auction, contact Lillian Pubillones Nolan (301) 299-6723 or [email protected].
