Tempted by the Sub2000, I have a few questions to ask...
I've heard that the spring-loaded side-folding scope mount will only take 1" scope tubes and does not always return to zero after being unfolded. I personally don't like the idea that my scope could even move around really. Lots of people have made mounts for the top of the front handgaurd, but this limits quick folding and unfolding time.
Is there a way to, with maybe AK mounts or something similar, to mount a scope rail from the side of the grip upwards to sit up 2" and to the left 2" so that the scope isn't directly over the barrel and the barrel can still be folded down next to the grip?
Using the picatinny rail to mount a flashlight and a barrel-grabbing thingo for a laser wouldn't be too hard, but making my own side-bolting rail might be hard to get on there perfectly straight...
Also, how thick is the plastic on the handguard? Is it strong enough to support a bipod through a hole drilled through the bottom??
Thanks!!!
