Isn't it supposed to start shipping soon (or already)? What's the latest on this?

Anybody planning to get it as soon as it's available?

These look very tempting. I was able to get my hands on one at the shot show. However, just like the ACR, I don't want to be the first one to get one. I will wait and hear the reviews.

Quarter 4 2008 is last word (as of SHOT, website postings, etc).

I must have missed that. The last time I looked on the Keltec site it said quarter 2. I should have checked.

Let's hope they put more thought into Fit and Finish with this rifle and not do what they do with their pistols.

Yes.

I'll be willing to be a guinea pig on this one - chomping at the bit.

If one were cynical, one might say that they'll ship just in time for the new D party in control to ban them.

I have personally been waiting for it to come out since it was announced.

I was looking to get 2 identical .308 semi-autos to store in the safe along with my identical ARs (I have this thing about having a duplicate of every gun - for a number of reasons, but one is so that when one day I hopefully have 2 kids, they will both inherit identical collections - I know it sounds stupid), and when I saw the RFB I just thought, "That settles that."

I like the looks of the RFB, just not the price. I'm hoping kel-tec pulls a sub-9/sub-2000 kinda thing with these and comes out with a cheaper, yet still good version later.

Mmmm. I'm also hoping Kel sticks to their lower pricing structure with this one. I really like the PS-90 and the FS-2000, but my wife would be peaved if I spent that much on a gun. The RFB would tide me over nicely until I win the lotto or something.

Oh, and I really like that it uses 7.62 NATO, although that might get expensive.

I love my Kel-Tec pistols, but I suspect I would be disappointed in the fit and finish on this. For $2k I expect a lot more than I did with my P3AT and P11.

$2k? What are you basing that on? The only place I have seen that listed a price is Impact Guns, and they list $1799 on a gun they admit that they don't have firm pricing on.

And of course, everybody on the internet is quoting their price.

Does anybody have any inside info on the price, or are we all just guessing?

I don't think that's stupid...but then again, I'm one of those, um, "gun nuts". :) :)

Ow, OW! Railroader, those poor, deformed M-14s make me want to claw my eyes out! How could somebody do that to such a nice looking gun? :cuss: Not too mention that M1As and M14s are also pretty expensive to begin with.

Seriously though, if this thing is going to be $1799, I'd rather pay the extra few hundred for an FN.

Talk of MSRP has been hovering between $1500 and $2k, more for the longer versions. Realistically speaking though, it sounds like the prices will be very competitive with those of Springfield Armory. 7.62 battle rifles of quality aren't exactly as cheap to make as a WASR-10.
