Kerry is just another Massachusetts liberal. Anyone that allies himself with Kennedy can't be good. The one good thing about Kerry is that he has a tortuously long voting record in which he is consistently votes on the wrong side. The Democratic party wants to play dirty and accuse Bush of being AWOL, but nothing is mentioned yet of Kerry's treason. Sure, he served in Vietnam...on an aircraft carrier. I don't recall hearing the Vietnamese mounting any attacks on our carriers during that war. Then the guy throws his medals onto the white house lawn, yet those same medals were displayed in his senate office. Then you get to the point that he testified that US soldiers committed all kinds of atrocities during the war. This testimony directly hurt our GIs in the field, and aided and abetted the North Vietnamese. He also sold out our POWs. Then you get to the scandal with his wife and his screwing around. If his wife can't trust him, the nation certainly can't. The man is a joke.

    Kerry - just another POS

He votes with Kennedy 96% of the time. My guess is Ted told him to vote that way or he'd eat him.

Well since President Bush is even with McGovern on social issues, Kerry doesn't have much room to manuver. If kerry moves any farther left he will travel full circle and become far right.

Kerry was a Navy LT. He was a SEAL team member. He did command one of the Navy's fast boats that patrolled the rivers. He did 4 months in country.
He won a bronze and a silver star. He got a silver star by beaching the boat and chasing down and killing a wounded Vietnamese soldier who had fired on the boat. Kerry's unit did not have a commanding officer at the time of the unit so the story goes that he put himself in for the Silver Star. I'll leave it to you all to decide whether or not that action merited the Silver Star.

He also got 3 Purple Hearts. None of his wounds were serious but apparently that was enough to get him out of Vietnam.

So yes, Kerry did time "in country." He was involved in combat action.

However, he came home and denounced America's effort in Vietnam and impuned the American military. His efforts and the efforts of people like him, aided and abetted the enemy. His book was hardly complimentary of the US military.

Now he acts as if he is proud of his service. Certainly not backing away from it at all.

He won't be getting my vote. His actions after Vietnam were reprehensible IMHO. I cannot overlook it.

John Kerry was not a member of a SEAL team. He was the boat captain of a Swift boat with the Riverine Force.

Bob Kerrey, from Nebraska, was a Navy SEAL and a recipient of the Medal of Honor while in Viet Nam. I believe he lost part of his leg in action also.

Bob Kerrey has class. John Kerry ..........................

John Forbes Kerry was a Lt. (junior grade) He commanded a swift boat in Viet Nam.

Bob Kerrey (former Senator from Nebraska as well as former candidate for President) is the Navy S.E.A.L. that you may be thinking of. Unlike John "the conquering hero" Kerry, Bob Kerrey was gravely wounded (lost his leg) while engaged in an operation for which he was awarded the Medal of Honor.

A comparison of the the two men is interesting in that it provides a way to look into the psyche of the modern Demonrat party.

Kerrey: Honorable man, forthright and courageous, liberal yes, but always demanding that folks who recieve government assistance be held accountable. When asked about his military past he was always completely forthcoming, even when the Demonrat party marginalized him with false accusations of war crimes.

In the end, the Demonrats destroyed him politically because they had no room within their party for anyone that would insist on holding welfare recipients et al., responsible for their own actions.

Kerry : Dishonorable (call him what you like here), prevaricator, anti-American sovereignty ___hole liberal (read as, or more liberal than Ted Kennedy) who demands that we the sheeple acceed to the wishes of our betters - and of whom he considers himself to be #1. When asked about his military past and it's nefarious aftermath, he pleads both cases. He says that he is proud to have served our country in the Republic of Viet Nam, and out of the other side of his mouth he rattles off a litany of war crimes that he claims not only to have taken place daily, but that he had personal knowledge of them! In fact, he has said in testimony to the U.S. Senate Foreign relations committee "...several months ago in Detroit, we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command...." All officers? Every level of command? Really? All of those officers derelict in their duty eh? Funny... I must have served in a different Navy.

Unlike Bob Kerrey, the Demonrat party embraces John Forbes Kerry. They seem to be on the verge of anointing him and proclaiming that he represents their ideals.

Well, that may be so, but from where I sit I see an empty suit. I see a (call him what you like here) who makes believe that he has thrown his medals away in protest, while simultaneously seeing to it that they are prominently displayed on his office wall... not to mention that he brings up the fact that he was awarded them every time he speaks. I see a Senator that voted for the Iraq war resolution that then says he is against the war.

I see that and a dearth of ideals everywhere I look in the Demonrat party.

Yep, that's absolutely right. But try telling the average, uninformed, unthinking person that. Literally *all* they know (or think they know) about Kerry is: He's a *war* hero. He was in *Viet Nam*. :barf:

I really don't understand the logic of the Democrats.

It took 12 years for a Dem to regain control of the White House - and it was a self-described "centrist" (William Jefferson "El Pantalones!" Clinton) who finally undid 12 years of GOP rule.

Apparently unable to learn the lessons of 90s, Clinton crony Terry McAuliffe keeps pushing the Dems to the left, and keeps wondering why his party gets thwacked every election.

John Kerry will put US security in the hands of the UN, and I'm deathly afraid that his legacy will be a mushroom cloud over Washington D.C.

The Dems are pushing from socialist toward communist. Their utopia is just south of Key West. I cordially invite them to go live there and leave me the hell alone.

Cuba? Now let's be fair to Castro, he isn't pro-homosexual agenda like the Democrats are and he at least doesn't believe in racially discriminating against whites and Asians (reverse discrimination).

I was wrong about the aircraft carrier thing. That's what I get for listening to a friend instead of finding the facts myself. Sorry.

Wow, that'll fight violent crime! Threaten murders, rapists, etc. with a lifetime of food, utilities, shelter, exercise, and occasional entertainment at tax-payer expense. I can't wait to see the crime rate drop like a rock when criminals find out nobody is going to hurt them if they get caught.

Ooh, not only will we get to see more of our money poured into the great success know as the WoD, but we get to pay for the crack addicted junkies when they wind up in some treatment program. Yay!

    A couple of my latest "Stupid MORON DEMOCRAT SHEEP" moments;

Tom Daschle saying how the Dems are the one party where, if they're in office, "everyone who wants to work will be able to work". For the record, I DON"T WANT TO WORK!!! What I really want to do is shoot, run and lift weights all day, drink beer and watch cable TV all night. Oh, by the way Tommy... the unemployed getting welfare checks...spending it on booze, ho's and crack... THEY DON"T WANT TO WORK EITHER!!! One of us is a responsible adult.

I just love the Dems playing to the (stupid, unconscious) crowds by saying over and over how they represent the "working class", they want to get back at the wealthy and eliminate the "Republican tax cuts for the rich".

According to MSN , Kerry family fortune is worth over 500 million dollars. And the dumb a$$ liberals fall for it. Baaa... Baaa

Yeah, Johnny... wear that Carrhart jacket. I'm sure it's needing a good washing with all the dirt and sweat it's seen.

    Rant mode off.

It's going to be a long year.
