Kerry is scary

Kerry is the reason my Mother who is a lifelong Democrat is going to vote for Bush (who she dislikes intensly) this November.

In her words Kerry is insane and dangerous.

Well, substitute "Republican" for Democrat and I seem to be in agreement with your mother.

Though I don't dislike Bush. I think he's honestly doing what he thinks is best, but he hasn't a clue.

Kerry's mega wealthy family made sure their little boy only stayed in country Viet Nam for about three months. In that short period of time he accumulated, I won't say earned, more medals than one could possibly imagine. I once thought that you couldn't buy military decorations, he proved me wrong. Then when he came back home, he had the audacity to strut around with hair down to his shoulders in half a uniform, with his medals and ribbons attached protesting the war and chastising congress and any one else who would listen about war atrocities and how wrong the conflict was. Now he wants to brag about having been there.
Notice how every time a camera is on him, he will pop a quasi-military salute? What a phoney this man is.
I am a 32 year career Navy veteran, as an enlisted man, I crewed a Huey as a door gunner in Nam. I earned Naval Combat Aircrew designation and a stack of ribbons and medals but I don't consider myself a hero by any stretch of the imagination. One thing that really grates on me is when I see Kerry struting around in a Naval Aviator's Flight Jacket with Squaron patches and "I been there" patches sewn on. That jacket is a proud symbol of Naval aviation which must be earned by Naval Pilots and Aircrew. Not by some punk kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth whose money bought him a very short highly decorated tour in Nam and then had the balls to add insult to injury for those of us who served a tour or two as I did in Nam. This man makes me wanta puke.

Gunmeister Please dont hold back tell us how you really feel :D

Very well put.

Setting Straight Kerry’s War Record

By Thomas Lipscomb
The New York Sun | March 1, 2004

...
Mr. Kerry was assigned to Swiftboat 44 on December 1, 1968. Within 24 hours, he had his first Purple Heart. Mr. Kerry accumulated three Purple Hearts in four months with not even a day of duty lost from wounds, according to his training officer. It’s a pity one cannot read his Purple Heart medical treatment reports which have been withheld from the public. The only person preventing their release is Mr. Kerry.
...
By his own admission during those four months, Mr. Kerry continually kept ramming his Swiftboat onto an enemy-held shore on assorted occasions alone and with a few men, killing civilians and even a wounded enemy soldier. One can begin to appreciate Zumwalt’s problem with Mr. Kerry as commander of an unarmored craft dependent upon speed of maneuver to keep it and its crew from being shot to pieces.

Mr. Kerry now refers to those civilian deaths as “accidents of war.â€And within four days of his third Purple Heart, Mr. Kerry applied to take advantage of a technicality which allowed him to request immediate transfer to a stateside post.
...

Could any of this be true?
