At the next gun show I'll be selling/trading a couple of fixed-blade knives. What is a fair asking price for a 4-inch, drop point Japanese survival blade stamped, "KHYBER STAINLESS 2650 JAPAN". It's a hefty 7 and a half ounces; has a burgundy Micarta handle; a full tang; an inch and a half long finger guard; and a lanyard hole. It's used, but in good condition.
I read that they are very good knives made in Japan in the early 1980's, that the company was owned by Ka-Bar, and that they are collectable.
Would $100 be in the ballpark?

Something is "worth" what someone is willing to pay for it. Pictures would help.

Pictures are important in helping to determine condition and value. Do you have the sheath? Do you have the original box and papers?

If you're just walking around you'll probably be offered no more than $20 for it by someone at a table. If you have a table you probably won't get more than $30 for it since it isn't a recognizable name.

KA-BAR and Khyber
Khyber was a play on the Ka-Bar name, for Ka-Bars made in Japan.
As Sam Cade noted, they were both owned by the same company.

I carried a Khyber folder for a work knife for many years, and it was a really good knife.

Better if you posted it on the internet with pictures if you want to get the most for it.
