Just put a new kimber tle ii custon in layaway at the lgs. Anybody have one in 10mm? What do you like or dislike about it? Any issues I jeed to watch for?

The only question I would have (and I do not know the answer) is if the chamber is fully supported. In 10mm this is an issue for durability and handling high pressure loads.

Swapping a Colt for a Kimber is a pretty good endorsement. I did not think that chamber support was an issue with these pistols. Anybody else have a review of this pistol?

The DE does not have a good ramped barrel. I have had 2 case blowouts shooting hot 10mm ammo. Underwood Ammo even cautions on using his 1300 FPS loads in a Delta. He has a 1240 FPS lode he makes.

The Colt is a good shooter if you don't put super hot loads in it.

I have the tle rl just has the rail on it vs the one you got in 10mm. It is a nice shooting gun. Only modifications I did was ditch the Swartz safety (just a personal preference all ready had issues with it on another gun) and a quick polish job on the trigger assembly it was a bit gritty trigger pull. It is a fun gun to shoot. I was recently trying to get rid of mine for a Wilson in 10mm ended up keeping it and putting a deposit on the Wilson. Ive had issues with lesser quality magazines in it the stock Kimber one worked well. Picked up a few tripp research mags and never had an issue with it. I really like the front strap checkering on it. Shooting the hotter stuff is fun through the 10mm 1911s.

Just from personal preference I would rather have the Kimber over the dan Wesson rz10 (personal thing never had any good luck with the dan wessons ive bought)

I have a Kimber Stainless Target II in 10mm and a Glock 20, I like the Kimber better and it is accurate. I've used both factory and hand loaded ammo and had no problems with cases even with max loads.

My brothers Kimber is the same model as RRBunns'. After a trip back to Kimber for some ejection problems (their customer service was excellent by the way) it has functioned flawlessly with a steady diet of stout handloads. Next to his HK USP 45 it's his favorite pistol and he says he'll never get rid of it.....I've shot it quite a bit and it sure packs a wallop. He's even taken deer with it.

The closest thing I have is an old AMT Javelina. It does not have a fully supported chamber and will rupture cases if you give it a chance. On the other hand, I have a S&W 1006 that seems like it would feed a 105mm with no problems. Both are fun to shoot.

+1 on the 1006. I have a1076 and it is built like tank. Unfortunatly it carries like one too.
