I recently acquired a Kimber Compact CDP II to go along with my Tactical Custom II. After a good cleaning, I headed out to the range to shoot both guns. I'm happy to report that I put 50 rounds thru it, and had only one FTF.
That happened on the 2nd mag. After that, the pistol ran great and the action is starting to smooth out very well. I didn't shoot from a rest to test accuracy, but I can tell you the gun hits point of aim just as good as the TC2 out to 15 yards. I didn't get any pics of my targets, but here are a couple of pics of the Kimbers. Needless to say, I really like both guns. I use both as daily carry, but sometimes carry a Glock 30. I always carry a 642 in my front left pocket.

Nice Compact! IMHO the Compact CDP is a great value if you are looking for an "off the shelf" carry 1911 with all the bells and whistles. My only beef is the ambi thumb safety. If it were mine I'd swap it out for a regular safety and throw some thin grips on it. It would make for a nice IWB carry gun.
