Kimber Custom TLE II Problems

Aauuugg!!

Trying to follow Kimbers directions to break-in my new TLE II by firing 500 rounds of a quality, Winchester White Box 230gr. FMJ. At first I thought something was wrong with me but I had several friends shoot the gun.

Windage is dead on at 25 yards but the elevation is waaaaay off. Shooting from a solid bench rest the elevation ranged from 7"-9" high with great grouping of the shots!!!! This is my first Kimber....is this the norm with the fixed sight setup or what?????

Every other brand of .45 I own shoots to within 1" of point of aim. My SIG P220ST and Para Ordnance Carry 12 are dead on at 25 yards. This is done shooting the same round as listed above.

Help....any advice would be appreciated.

early on the TLE's somehow got the wrong front sight post one higher than it needed. but it was the exact opposite. it hit LOW. maybe they are putting ones on that are low?

call kimber up, they will probably want you to finish out the 500 rounds and if it still is high, send it back to them.

When I talked to them about my night sights being weak they were pretty brief with me, but professional. Some people think they're rude up there, but every time I've called for service or info I've gotten what I needed in a very good time frame.

Hopefully you won't have to send the whole thing back.
