kimber desert warrior-45acp, bought the pistol

i was looking at kimber desert warrior a friend wants to sell, he said it only had 4-5 hundred rounds thru it. it looks brand new(he said he would take it back if i didn,t like it). what should i pay for it? a fair price,i am not trying to steal it. well i bought the pistol, paid 400.00 for it.it seems to be like the owner said,i got four extra magazines and case and all paper work. eastbank.

They are good guns and very accurate, it uses a older colt series 70 safety system in it.

The finish on it is more of a painted finish and chips and wears very easy.

If I were you I would look more to a used kimber series 1 gold match in series blue or stainless. Even a new colt gold cup is a great pistol for the $850-$900 range.

Also if you intend on carrying it I would get the kimber with a series 2 safety mechanism or a colt series 80 .

The STI trojan is a better gun than either the colts or kimbers and only sells for around $950

I like the Kimber, but don't forget the Springfield Operator, the Doublestar 1911, and the :what::what: STI Duty One. In my opinion, the Duty One is possibly the best "Tactical 1911" ever made, barring full custom guns like Nighthawk or Les Baer.

as soon as the weather breaks i,m going to shoot the kimber, i took it all apart and it looks to be in ex condition on the inside. eastbank.

the owner of the kimber said he had a deal going down with a few rifles and it was buy then now or lose the deal for the rifles. the deal must have been very good on the rifles,i will ask him what they were. eastbank.

something sounds fishy.. BUT, being the nice guy I am... I'll give you $450 (an extra $50 for your trouble) and I'll take it off your hands. ;) :)

That's a sweet deal
