Damon555- I agree, I definitely think Its the best looking, and dirtied up? That thing looks great!!! Glad to hear another kimber owner

I had a Kimber Series I Gold Match. Beautiful gun, shot well and ran well. I didn't have one complaint about the performance and craftsmanship of that pistol.

The one Zerodefect was pointing you to is the one I was talking about. That is one nice looking pistol.

On a side note I was looking at 10mm a while back and just felt like I would not shoot it as much. Instead I converted my Dan wesson PM-7 45 , a fine weapon in regards to the one you posted earlier about, to 460 Rowland. Now I have a really fast big bore 1911 that can flip back to a regular 45 if I want.

460 Rowland may not be your bag if you do not reload, but if you do reload 45 you have all of the supplies except brass.

dtsdave, i havent started reloading yet, but i plan to start soon. I like the limited edition dan wesson, but i cant justify how much i like it with 1600. i like the regular pointman 7 more anyway. or a cbob. I dont know a lot about the 460 rowland, but i just wonder how punishing it is on a gun

Between those, I think I'd go Colt

However, I don't think 1911 is the best platform for 10mm. I think the EAA Witness is.

There are certain parts in the 1911 design that just do not do well with high pressure cartridges.

Here is my conversion. It is not an every day round. I don't think it beats up the frame any more than 10mm would.

Every once in a blue moon you see a 10mm cbob pop up. That is a pretty sweet find.

I know the limited edition is pricey. I would love to have one if I had the spare funds.

Dtsdave-that conversion is pretty sweet.
I mean everyone loves a limited edition, but to me it's not worth spending 1600 when I can have a razorback, and a walther p99. Hopefully I can find a Cbob in 10mm. That would be nice.
