Does anyone know the bullet weight and distance the 2" is regulated for? Kimber CS said the techs test for sight regulation at 25 yds!:what: I just shot it for the first time and with SGD .38+P and .357 both 135 gr short barrel it shot about 2.25" low at 7 yds. I was hitting a paper plate well at 15 yds with 158 gr .38 standard pressure. Seems a bit crazy to regulate the sights of a SD snubbie for 25 yds. Obviously I will test different weight bullets at various ranges and figure this out but was curious if anyone "knew" what Kimber intended.

Majority of handgun shooters have a tough time hitting their target at 14 yards, let alone 25.

I’m guessing 158 grain standard pressure.38 special at 15 yards is the sweet spot

These are night sights but the effect of the three dot system. I think I was using the top of the front post level with the sides of the sight.

Give it a try with the front dot covering your bullseye. That’s how mine shoots.

It has been a while since I talked to a Kimber rep at the SHOT show, but I seem to recall him telling me that the factory regulates the sights with 158gr JSP.357Mag ammo at 25 yards and that guns would hold within 2". This was shooting off a bench, supporting the shooter's wrist with sandbags, and shooting DAO.

If you're shooting DAO and free style, I'd expect to be able to keep the shots within 4"

Most of my modern self-defense use handguns seem to be regulated for a Combat Hold at 7 - 15 yards. Most shoot low if I use a 6 o'clock hold. Of course that is ammo dependent. 158 gr .38 Spl don't hit to same point of aim as 125 gr .357 Mag.
