While I was at my nephews house today working with our beagle puppies , my brother broke out his 2 new pistol after we put the puppies back in their kennel .
He just got the new Kimber Micro Crimson and a Shield 9mm . The Kimber had a good feel to it and had no failures , but you never new where the brass was going to land , some went up over your head and back behind you about 6 foot , some hit the brim of my hat , some went to the left and some went about 8 feet at 3:00 .
The Shield threw everything about 3 foot away at about the 3:00 position , right in the same pile and easy to find . I didn't like the way the grip felt in my hand though , it needs some roundness IMO .
Neither one had that great of a trigger , but I give the edge to the Kimber and recoil seemed better with the Kimber , not that either one was bad with recoil . I didn't like the thumb safety on the Kimber and the Shield didn't have a safety . We were shooting steel so I can't speak for accuracy , I hit the target every time with both guns at about 15 paces .
Very fun day .
