I recently got a new, unfired .45 ACP Kimber Pro Carry II as part of a trade with a buddy. I like the stylings of the gun, and as of now, have not fired the pistol.
I am all about trigger feel on my pistols. I am not going to concealed carry any of the guns I modify, so lighter trigger pull is not a safety issue. I take them to the range in pistol cases, unloaded of course.
I have several Glock pistols, and the three that I call my "go to shooters" all have ZEV Fulcrum trigger kits in them. I love the adjustments that can virtually eliminate creep and over travel, but also get me in a nice, shootable lower pull weight. Smooth baby, smooth.
My dry fire (snap cap) first impression of the Kimber trigger is that it is far better than most OEM triggers, but lacking in the feel I want as an end result. So...what are my options such as aftermarket parts/kits, etc? I realize I can take to a gunsmith for smoothing as well, but not sure what they can do compared to a ZEV. Ideas?
