Why did Kimber stop making the SIS?

Did they really bow to the presure of the polically correct or were they not selling???

What was not politcally correct about the SIS? The SIS wasn't that much different than their other pistols besides the tacticool SIS slide serrations.

The "SIS" is one of the maybe 3 Kimbers i actually like. If i found one for a fair price, id snag it. I love the sights

Pro: No superfluous parts for firing pin obstruction. Outside the repressive jurisdiction which originated the model, at least.
Con: Slick coating over the logo in lieu of serrations means a gorilla grip is necessary to rack the slide.

This is completely incongruous and at odds with the other well thought out features for what is supposed to be a gunfighter's weapon. Not to mention ugly.

And welcome back.
