Just got my foirst gun, a Kimber Target stainless 9MM. All was well for the first 300 rounds or so, then it started having ejection problems with 3-4 pieces of brass failing to eject during a round of 50 or so. Sent it back to Kimber ($84 shipping). Now they say it will take 4-5 weeks. Any advice?
Thanks
Paulo

Mine is doing the same. It ran perfectly for 600, then started getting FTE and double feed issues. I cleaned the extractor, ran for another 300 rounds then got 2 double feeds this past Saturday.

These Kimber 9mms need a lot of extractor tension, it also seems like the extractor and extractor channel gets really gummed up with firing. Cleaning the extractor and extractor channel helped, but the issues came back.

Anyone else have opinions on this?

The problem w/ Kimber Sts Target in 9mm is that is uses a 40 S&W breechface. I don't know why Kimber is doing this because their 38 super pro carry uses a true 38 super/9mm breechface.

Mine runs like a champ. I have had it for over 3 years with no malfunctions.

Check the tension on the extractor. By the way, Kimber 9mm mags are great.

I had a kimber custom compact .45, and I shot in total exactly 200 rounds through this gun cleaning it every time I shot it O.C.D, after I shot the (2) 100 round winchester boxes of ammo without any problem,I bought another. The gun would not get 1 single round off without jamming I tried every type ammo (fmj) I could possibly find they all did the same thing. Note the extractor pin is fine. I broke down bought some federal hydra-shoks and the gun worked fine. Now tell me that aint some sh**

I'm still having the same problem with the new Baer. Accuracy has improved dramatically. I bought three new Wilson and three new Tripp mags. All 10 rounders. Still have periodic double feeds which cause the FTE, or the FTE causes the double feed. It's not every mag for sure, it's every seven or eight mags when it's happening. I'm not sure what my next move will be. Hate to send things back to the shop.
