Kimber Ultra Carry II

I was looking at a Kimber Ultra Carry II/ Night Sights (LG)™ .45 ACP -

My question is - I'm a lefty and it does not have a ambidextrous safety.

Can a ambi safety be put on the gun?

Yes it can be installed I am a lefty and you can with practice knock the safety off with out adding a ambi. people did it for years

Is the UC an alloy framed gun? Don't recall which model, but Kimber has experienced problems with frame cracks lately. Also, they seem to have a bad batch of slide stops. It's a simple fix and they will send a new SS. The frame problem is a little more serious.

You might want to look at finding out if you can get a left hand modification instead of ambidextrous safety. I found out the hard way that having the saftey on the outside that it can be swiped off by rubbing or bumping against something...Where as if it is against your body it is protected from bing swiped.
