I'm a simple guy.

I like bolt rifles, revolvers and punp shotguns and have never had an interest in auto loader handguns. Until now.

Saw one at the gun store the other day and it has my attention.

45ACP and beautiful. Also more $ than I should consider. About $1100.

Anyway, what do you all think of this gun? Not so much the cost but the piece itself.
 
It was not only my first 45, but also my first 1911... I have since gotten 3 more 1911's. It was a sweet shooter, and a hell of a looker. I never had any problems with it, and ran about 2k+ rounds through it. I decided to trade it off:banghead: and get a smaller pistol for less clothes concealability...:eek:
 
They're a solid pistol, but as far as1911s go, I prefer Springfield or Colt over Kimber. The Springfield equivalent would be the Micro and the Colt equivalent guns are the Defender and the Officer's ACP.

I will check out the Springfields and Colts as well. I know they are very reputable products.

Ya know I had lots of issues deciding which 1911 to get recently (my first but not first .45) I had heard lots if ppl saybthey had issues with theirs and theybwere junk but also an equal amount loved them, well I wemt with the kimber (ultra crimson carry) and absolutely LOOOOVE it, I did haft buff the extractor a little but that's literally all it needs, fantastic gun, has become a dedicated edc, good luck and hopefully enjoy!!
