Sorry, but the photo is a one-meg file; can't post it. But one helluva whitetail! Very symmetrical twelve-point. Ten, plus the two drop tines.

Wow. That is huge. I was on the King Ranch a couple years ago on a bus tour. I did see some deer but nothing like that. I did see a one off hunting car made by Buick in the 50's for the King ranch. Way cool.

Umm Art, I could be wrong, but I've seen this on several boards, and what I think it ended up being is a joke Justin was playing on someone that got out of hand, and thus all over the internet. It is a heck of a deer, but if you look close, you will see that he is not 34" wide, and 32" is doubtful on beams.

Rockin U, could be. One thing for sure from that picture, though, is that it's one gorgeous deer!

Back maybe forty years ago or thereabouts, my father grumped about the lack of the 200-pound bucks that used to be found in the south Texas brush country. He'd killed one near Rocksprings, just west of the Hill Country, which after three days of hanging and with the lower legs cut off, weighed 194.

My buddy who sent me the email used to hunt near Cotulla, and has some seriously big racks in his garage. Some monster bucks, from the photos. But, again, that was years and years ago for his hunting.

I was driving up the highway from Raymondville, in the King Ranch country, and saw a buck from the highway. His antlers were at least four or five inches out past his ear tips. Definitely a drool/slobber buck. :)

Art was kind enough to forward the email on to me and the buck is quite impressive! Got to love some good ole' drop tines.

buck doesn't look to be nearly that heavy, unless the coon hound is a great dane,,

He doesn't look that big but it sure that would be an expensive hunt if you only budgeted a 5k trophy fee for a 150" or less buck and ended up shooting a 200"+, 25k+ buck instead.

It's amazing what they can charge for a high fence deer.

Yup this is most likely a low fence deer. The King Ranch is so big they don't need high fence. I think the stats on this deer may be a bit inflated (specifically the G1s and G4s) but it is still a monster nonetheless, deer of a lifetime for sure.
