just got mine for my G22. Found that it absoutely will not feed my handloads, choking on 50% of them. They seem to jam by being cut by the bottom edge of the chamber mouth, just above the groove. Same loadds feed flawlessly in the factory barrel, and commercial loads feed fine in the KKM.

So I'm thinking that, even though I can't see it, there must be a tiny bit of the "Glock bulge" in my brass that's been fired in the factory barrel. Although I dropped a bunch of them into the chamber to test before installing the barrel, and they fit fine. Just seems that when they're tipping up during feeding they get bit. Once that has happened, they cannot any longer be made to chamber because of the thin ridge of brass raised by the chamber mouth.

Hmm. Guess I'll have to separate my brass now.

Sorry to hear about your feeding problems. I've used a KKM barrel in my 2nd Gen. G22 for several years without a hiccup. Love it.

I bought it because my stock barrel had very generous dimensions and ejected what I considered to be very bulged brass. The KKM barrel cured that problem and made my Glock almost as accurate as my Sig 226 .40. I don't reload though and I'd be willing to bet that KKM chambers have closer tolerances than stock Glock barrels.

Actually,

I don't think the KKM has a problem. It's clearly a finely made unit. I just think the brass previously fired in my factory barrel is oversized for it. I'll just have to get some fresh brass and see.

Well I am having the same problem with my KKM barrel as well on my glock 22. It is a threaded barrel and I ordered the thread protector for it as well and it will not screw on all the way. So I think maybe something is wrong with the machining. I have tried brand new brass in mine and I use the Lee Factory Die on all my reloads as the last stage to make sure of proper sizing. I thought maybe it was the magazines at first because mine is stove piping so I purchased another magazine which means I have 4 now and they all stove pipe about every 3 rounds. The key with mine though is that it does it with factory ammo as well at least the ones I have tried WWB and american eagle. I have none of these issues with the factory barrel. I am now considering selling the glock 22 because I am an avid reloader for therapudic reasons (hehehe) and I do not feel comfortable putting reloads through the factory barrel though I know many others that has. I never reload hot either as most is for plinking and bullseye, I always stay middle of the road or even less.

The sad thing is I called about the thread protector that does not fit and asked for suggestions via email about the stove piping from the company I got the items from and not one answer at all. It is supposedlyone of the most reputable glock companies out there but they have lost a customer in me and I will not recommend anyone to purchase from them.
