Man killed and five critically injured as knifeman goes on rampage
By Nick Allen, PA Crime Correspondent
23 December 2004

One man was killed and several others were stabbed as a knifeman went on a rampage in north London today.

A spokeswoman for North Middlesex Hospital said four men and a woman were admitted to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone.

She said: "They are all critical and two of them are currently in surgery."

At least three separate stabbing incidents took place in the Green Lanes area of north London. One stabbing happened near the Green Lanes train station, another in Ecclesbourne Gardens and another in Meridian Way.

Police said there may also have been other incidents.

Another reason not to visit Britain.

Why does Britain have high crime but other EU countries like Spain rarely have violent crime?

The solution is obvious: ban hands. Without hands people cannot use knives.
Nice idea, but then there are kickers, and their feet whe have to worry about. The real solution would be for the government to kill everyone before the criminals get a change to do it. Then no one can die, because there will be no one.

Look, such a sweeping ban on non-sporting body parts cannot happen all at once thanks to those right wing goons in the National Limb Association.

We need reasonable limb control as a first step, for the children. After I ban hands, I can move on to feet, knees, elbows, teeth and finally our greatest victory brain bans, which is already the rule of law in the U.S. Congress.

Man arrested in twins' stabbing
One brother died, and the other was wounded after an argument with another driver along a toll road in Rancho Santa Margarita.

The Orange County Register

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA – A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder in the stabbing of 23-year-old twin brothers in what officials said today started as a traffic argument.

Rodrigo Jose Requejo, 31, was arrested at his Rancho Santa Margarita home at about 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said. He was identified by a combination of witness reports and a deputy sheriff who had prior contact with Requejo.

Justin Ammann was stabbed to death, and his twin, Jason Ammann, was badly wounded at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect and the Ammanns, officials said, were in separate pickup trucks and argued as they drove along the southbound Foothill (241) Toll Road. The twins and the suspect got out of their vehicles at the end of the Santa Margarita Parkway off-ramp, and the twins were stabbed.

Requejo was being held on $1 million bail at the Orange County Jail.

"This won't bring my son Justin back but I'm grateful they got the man who killed my son. This could have happened to anybody. I just don't get this stuff," said Sheila Ammann, the twins' mother.

Amormino said that the investigation determined that Requejo had never before met either of the twins, and their encounter was a chance occurrence.

Sheila Ammann said she has spoken with her son, Jason.

"I don't think it has sunk in yet that his brother is dead. They were inseparable," she said.

The family is planning a vigil 5 p.m. Sunday at the Huntington Beach Pier. The twins had spent several years in Huntington Beach, their mother said.

a more likely response is going to be knife registration. It's already happened in parts of Australia, and Scotland is going to ban swords

There been to much inbreeding in that little country and thats the cause of all this stupity. The answer is to kill everyone in England and start over with good American seed. :D

I'm curious. Are knives serial numbered, or what? Doe this include kitchen knives?

THe obvious soltuion is to ban anything that can be used as a weapon. Ban anything that is dangerous. Cars will go 5 mph, and be coated in a Nerf-arrow foam. You will wear a michelin-man suit, so if you fall, the poofy white will keep you safe. You will breath canned air, so no toxins can harm you. Same with being fed through an IV.

Or, we could just realize that life is full of risks. You can't make the world safe and let people have free choice. I would rather live in a dangerous world of uncertatinty and freedom than in a safe world of slavery.

Welcome to the world of today... stupidity has no nationality...keep in mind, what you read,or what you hear about...is a tiny portion of the whole. Arc-Lite
