I've been looking into different pepper sprays. I currently have a foxlabs 2 oz flip top pepper spray. I was thinking about getting the Guardian Hi-Power pepper spray (don't confuse with regular BodyGuard or BodyGuard LE-10). This BodyGuard Hi-Power pepper spray is 3 million SHUs, 15% Pepper Spray (Oleoresin Capsicum), and 3.0% Major Capsaicinoids. I'm wondering if this high level of capsaicinoids would be relatively safe, like if I could spray myself to see what it's like or use it in self-defense without worrying about any toxicity or blistering of the soft eye tissue. The EPA recommends having a maximum of 2.0% major capsaicinoids for bear pepper spray, so I am wondering if 3.0% MC (don't confuse with OC%) would be safe for personal self-defense? First Defense is 0.2% major capsaicinoids, Fox Labs is approximately 0.67% MC, civilian Vexor (15 million SHUs for base resin) is 1.0% MC for the bottle, law enforcement Vexor is 1.45% MC, Sabre Red (don't confuse with regular Sabre) is 1.33% MC, most grizzly bear spray MC%'s are between 1.4-2.0%. Does anyone know about 3.0% MC, and what you need for damage to eyes?

Here's one site that I found the BodyGuard Hi-Power at:

Also, I found a 3 million SHU, 15% OC, 3.0% MC personal defense spray at the official UDAP bear spray website. It looks like it's the same container and stuff, just different names when it gets to the distributor:

I would not spray that into my own eyes for the majority of the gold in fort knox, save it for when it counts and just explain that you could have shot him instead, im sure he'll understand.
