Of the two, which is better? The Axiom costs more and is adjustable, but it also seems to have the open design. Does this get dirty? Does the sealed riflecompstock work better?

Do they affect accuracy?

How about when you use a scope with high magnification, and eye relief gets short, are the stocks dangerous then?

To be honest I like the Rifle Compstock for design and cost, plus it sounds strong enough to handle a big cartridge. But if the Axiom is a better stock all-around, then it'd be worth it.

Still wonder how it doesn't give serious scope-bite though.

I have shot both the Axiom and the CompStock, one three different rifles. I hate them. I felt that the Axiom had a negative effect on accuracy-- rifle wouldn't shoot better than about 2". The CompStock was on a black powder rifle and it's a disaster when combined with any conventional rifle scope (re: eye relief).

The fundamentals of rifle marksmanship involve having a solid shoot position, good butt to shoulder, and follow through. How is having the action move relative to the stock a good thing? Honestly, I don't see how anyone could have seen this as a good idea. On rifles with big recoil, I'd just as soon get a good shoot position, a decent butt pad, and a brake if needed.
