I have mounted a couple for customers. They are nice scopes for the money and hold zero well. The glass is very clear & bright up to 20x then it gets a little cloudy and the eye box gets a little narrow.

You should be pleased with it.

Konus USA has a very good no questions asked replacement warranty.

The Millett TRS-1 with 1/4" clicks would be a good choice also for the price range you are looking in.

How much money are we talking?

A couple quick things I notice is that they only have fully coated optics (as opposed to true fully multicoated) and the turrets are 1/8 clicks instead of 1/4 clicks which you may or may not prefer (I prefer 1/4).

I have mounted three of the Konus M30 scopes for customers you would be very surprised at how clear & bright the glass is.

Here is a M30 6.5-25X44 mounted on a Rem 700 Tactical:

This one can be had from an Ebay dealer for $275 w/free shipping. Midway USA sells them for $359.

I think for the money I would rather have the Barska tacticals. They are fully multicoated and FFP.

No experience with Konus...but too much with Barska. I had one that would not retain the POA when the magnification was adjusted. Keep it at the same magnification and it was okay, but still not good. :)

I've heard much better things about the Konus brand M30 than I have the Barska XXX model (including their SWAT model). Plus I'm still just window shopping. The same $300 can get a Millett, Bushnell, Burris, Nikon, etc. This scope is going on my newly acquired Savage 10FP with Choate Tactical Stock. On the market for decent rings, bases and scope. Might even look for a used Leupold.

Nikon would be the best with your budget IMO. Look into the Weaver Tactical rings for a good set of rings on a tight budget, otherwise get steel one piece ring/mount. :)

I've had only one experience with Konus, and it turned out to be a bad one. I bought a 40mm Red/Green Dot from a local shop for $50 for use on my .223 Saiga. Before zeroing it during my first range trip, it rattled apart. The battery compartment/selector turret on the top of the sight came apart from the tube itself. I took it off and spent the rest of my range session using iron sights(this was also the first time I ever took my rifle out). When I got home I was easily able to put it back together, and it seems solid, but I have since replaced it with a $40 Simmons 3-9x40 scope that I have yet to have any problems with. When I pick up a .22, I figure I'll toss the Konus on that, since I'm worried that the recoil from a center fire will rattle it apart again.

I don't know if the $50 red dots are a good indicator of the quality of the company as a whole, and since I fixed it by myself I don't have any idea of what their customer service is like. There are papers in the box that state their products come with a lifetime warranty though. If I could do it all over again I'd skip the Konus and go with a Millet.
