I was at a range the other day shooting a rented G22. I had brought some personal extended magazines to test out. The 22 round mag worked flawlessly, but I have a 31 round Korean mag that failed to feed a round on several occasions. It would work fine for 2-3 rounds, then stop.

I'm not surprised it had issues, as I've heard complaints about them online, but what puzzles me is months ago I was shooting a Gen 1 Kel Tec Sub 2000 with it and it worked flawlessly. Does anyone know why?

I'm of the opinion that the Korean mag prefers the blowback action of the Sub 2000, while being unreliable with the short recoil and tilting barrel design of the Glock, but I'd like some input from more seasoned individuals on this.

Could be something as simple as cycle speed. A fast cycling gun needs a strong spring to get the next round up into feed position, especially in a fully loaded hi-cap where there is a lot of weight to heft. Might also be something simple like the geometry of the feed ramp. Who knows? If it were something. You really cared to tinker with, you could try different springs in the mag. It's about the only variable you can really play with. I suppose you could try to swap in a Glock factory follower too.

Try the SGM Tactical mags. Not much more expensive than the Korean mags and they are stainless steel lined.

I had issues with a few of the Korean 33 rounders. I had a couple that were loaded for a long time, and failed to function when used after sitting. They seemed to work fine prior to that. They were continually problematic after that too. I replaced the spring and followers with factory Glock parts, and they have been better, but still not what I consider reliable.

To be honest though, Ive had issues with the factory Glock 33 rounders as well, and have been disappointed in them too.

Now the Korean 17 and 15 rounders, have all been fine. I shoot 15-20 or so of the 17 rounders every week, and have not had any issues with them.

Please, do tell more about these issues you had. I've only ever heard that the factory Glock 33 round 9mm mags were as good as gold.

Basically just random feeding issues. Some mags make it all the way through without issue, some dont. I dont have that issue with the 17 round mags.

Own a few. First thing I do is replace the spring with a Wolff.

I bought 2 standard KBI magazines for my Glock 19 gen 2. They feed fine but slip loose of the magazine lock after a few rounds. The magazines feed fine and hold in place if I keep the palm of my support hand pushing up on the bottom of the magazine. Range magazine use only for my gun. They may work fine in other guns or ones of later generation.
