That's interesting. I bet it would get hefty with twenty shells onboard. The description doesn't say what the action is-- semiauto?

Its a pump, 24+1 2-3/4" shells, 20+1 3" And supposedly 40+1 with the 1.5" mini-shells, but the original KSG was reported to have some issues cycling the mini-shells. At ~$1.00 each I've never bothered with the mini-shells.

Not new. They showed it at the 2017 SHOT show. It looks like you can get one for around a grand. A regular KSG is $650-700.

Fully loaded with 00 buck, it weighs 11 pounds. Meh. With mini shells, that's $41 worth of ammo. It's the same overall length as a typical 18" barreled shotgun.

It's just too heavy, expensive, and impractical for me.

Not a fan of those. I enjoy my pump though,

Dang, Crawdad! That's my Dad's Model 12 and carrying case! You must have taken a photo of it 1969 before he "prettied it up". ;)

Just kidding: his was a 16 gauge.

To the OP: that has just got to be a monster to lug around fully loaded.

I have a Savage 21 that breaks down like that 21. Got it from my uncle. Needs some TLC. Since it needs a lot of care I bought another from GunBroker in the same shape for cheap. Between the two I'll have plenty of spare parts, the full choked 28 inch barrel and the other barrel will become 20-22 inch "utility" barrel with chokes. I think I might bead blast and Parkerize.

I have sold four or five Kel-Tec KSG Shotguns and every buyer has liked it. The short length is mighty handy for maneuvering through a building and the 12+1 capacity is nothing to sneeze at. It always looked to me like something a Star Wars Stormtrooper would carry. I myself never was comfortable with the thought of how close your hand gets to the muzzle when working the action. Some kind of grip on the lower rail would make sense, but I remember that rail being made of plastic?!? I wanted to get one for myself 'just because', but that hand-muzzle question was enough to dissuade me. I ended up with a USSG/Husan Turkish made AR style semi-automatic with changeable chokes that I like a lot.

I read that the 'new' KSG-25 came about when Kel-Tec had to lengthen the barrel for legal sales in Europe. With the longer barrel, the higher capacity magazines were a natural development. I have not seen the '25 in person so I do not know how it handles, but the original KSG felt really good to me in hand.
