I took my Brit/Argentine L1A1 psuedo DMR rifle to the range to try and tighten up the zeroing I started last week.
First off the rifle functioned wonderfully. I cranked the gas regulator down to 1 and she still flings brass about fifteen feet forward and right. Extraction is strong and positive though.
The DSA Extreme mount is great, no complaints there, the Millett DMS-1 is giving me some fits though. Between it and the rings I’ve got it on I don’t know which is the culprit.
The scope itself is the much advertised Dot in the doughnut model, 1-4 power. The optics are nice and clear, zoom works good, but the elevation and windage adjustments aren’t positive. The clicks are audible, but not tactile, so adjustments on the firing line aren’t exactly assured to be exact.
I currently have the scope mounted in a set of Weaver matte 30mm rings, so I think I might be changing them out as well if they don’t stay tight.
I’ll be taking her back to the range tomorrow afternoon to see about getting the work finished.
