I had my Saiga ak47 762x39 convert worked on by lancaster arms since it was converted by them.

I went to their shop directly since i live 20 mins away from them.

Well the rifle was pretty much new and i just needed the sight leaf spring replaced and i had a slight cant on it and that is it.

Well when i picked it up i looked at it and it looked good but when i got home i noticed the trigger was changed. I had the G2 trigger on it and now its some old junk on it and the rivet holding it moves back and forth with my finger. Makes me not want to shoot the thing.

The hammer is changed to some old one also. Why would they do this? I already know the reputation of that company but still?

Also the Saiga 762x39 had this silver thing next to the trigger? almost like a button and now thats gone also. i don't know what that was but its missing..

Lucky me i have a video before i sent it in and got close detail of the whole rifle. Very clear.

Also i bought a underfolder milled from them ( that i waited damn near 2 years... i know) and the barrel isn't chromed lined like promised and the parts on it are old junk from older aks.. mis matching numbers..

what do to what to do?

BTW they didn't really screw it up but they did crappy work on it and changed my orignal parts.. that what i meant for the title.

If I were you, I would contact them in writing, so there is a clear record of what you have communicated to them for future reference(letter or email). Follow that up with a phone call or visit to discuss the written request for a remedy. Start nice and ramp up the heat if you don't receive satisfactory service. If no satisfaction, then the poison letter is next. Same content, except reference the attempts to receive satisfaction and the lack of effective response, but this time add the "copy to" list from hell (ex. copy to: My Attorney, Better Business Bureau, District Attorney, NRA, etc., etc. Whether you actually send copies to each of those entities is irrelevant, although I would send one to the BBB because they will start a case # on the company. Sounds like they may have several already. It's something that the company will have to respond to, unless they are just willing to concede the fact that their business is crooked. From what you decribed in your post, these people misrepresented their product - the non chrome lined barrel on the underfolder and the stolen parts from your Saiga. The fact that you live only 20 minutes away is helpful if they are willing to cooperate in making these discrepancies right. If not, then start the relentless and methodical process of being a pain in the butt until they give you what you paid for and return and install the stolen parts. Good luck. I hate these things, because they are often long drawn out affairs. Sometimes not. Sometimes people can surprise you and do the right thing.

Chet has a serious PR problem with the recent '74 recall. Seems he made the mistake of outsourcing the builds and they were botched. Maybe he did the same with your conversion.

Good luck.

I don't get it, why would they take the time to remove the parts, it takes more time to do than than just fix the sight, must of been a really slow day for a guy to steal $30 of parts off your gun...

Well the saiga is indeed mine it has matching serials. I don't get why they would do this either.. but this really ticked me off.. Now they wont answer my calls.. no matter how many times i call.

Should i just drive to their shop? It's actually 30 min not bad

I can go their with my video camera and show them the video and demand i want it back on then but knowing them, they will say some BS like 'oh we don't have any in stock' or it will take a week to do it..

and what can i do about the barrel on the new rifle not being chrome lined like promised?

EDIT: i just called them and that son of a b Chet tried to yell and curse at me. As of now my complaint is going to the general attorneys office. These people are just insane.. Im going there friday and i'd love to see that ******* Chet yell at me in my face.

Take my words for future reference. Don't ever spend not even a penny with these people.. trust me.

I purchased my Lancaster AK through a dealer, but a number of folks who ordered direct through Lancaster have reported receiving very poor customer service. In some instances orders were never fullfiled.

actually, since a theft happened call the local PD and ask them how to proceed in getting your parts back, that and if you paid them by Credit card, dispute the charges NOW, American Express is very good at resolutions, and most CC will refuse to pay until the dispute is investigated. And remember while a Lawyer is ok (go talk to one, but may sure the visit is free) for the amount of money a small claims court fee is only $25 (because it is parts and Labor (your labor at local Gunsmith per hour price)) plus the satisfaction of taking the guy in front of a judge. If nothing else his lawyer will cost him more than just coughing up parts and parting ways with you, and if you win, you can add that to you BBB case file...
