Does anyone know what type of ak47 wood stocks are of strong material?

Im specifically talking about Lancasters line, I have a converted saiga that was done by them and it has the 'Russian Red" furniture which looks sexy but my Ak fell and got hit on the lower handuard and it cracked totally.. went to Lancasters warehouse (15 mins away :D) and they replaced it in 2 minutes. Im wondering if a Bulgarian blonde is stronger than their russian red furniture.

Would a stronger furniture even matter?

It is going to be on a milled version of their ak47s. How easy is it to interchange stocks on a milled ak47?

The word you're looking for is "laminate".

The Russians and others use laminated beech or birch in their furniture.

Solid wood just can't compete in the "strength and durability" fields next to laminated wood.

So their Russian red is laminated wood from what i hear so thus its better?

Should i go with a Russian Red instead of their bulgarian blonde?

I just want to make sure im getting quality rifle especially if its milled version.

Ah, you've been drinking the kool-aid, I see.

Milled AKs offer no benefits in any area over their stamped successors. Arsenal, Inc has spent millions of dollars convincing the American gun-buying public that "milled guns are THE BEST", when in reality, they were made obsolete in 1959. The stamped receivered AKs that replaced them are still in service to this day.

It doesn't matter where the furniture comes from, so long as it's laminated.

Why would i have to hammer it? I cant imagine something to happen to a solid piece of steel. A bent forged metal, maybe.

The Bulgarian blonde furniture that Lancaster is using now is manufactured by Ironwood. You might try contacting them directly via their web site. I'm very happy with mine.
