Wow, Oyeboten .... Play nice, and get your facts straight on the transfer prices. I'll also suggest you edit some of your insults, I won't quote them, so you don't have to remain on the record, but do it ....
The gun store to which Oyeboten refers is Discount Firearms. If you act like a d-****, you'll be treated like one. They are safety-conscious there, and they do have a tourist demographic. None of them leave dissatisfied (of course, being tourists and usually new to the shooting sports, they are respectful, so it is returned, in kind). High-tech range equipment, superior ventilation, full-auto rentals, and a wide range of revolver/semi-auto rentals. Prices are competitive .... I don't know if we're talking about the same store, Oyeboten, because I do survey prices around town, more than fair, e.g., Ruger LCP $279, Kel-tec SU-16CA $530. Where are you going to find a better price, if you can even find those guns?
The Gun Store is fine as well, friendly staff at the counter. Maybe a little pricey on ammo. Never used their range, however. I believe they've made some big improvements on it in the last few years. They also have increased their retail floor space and the size of the range.
TimM: I'm assuming you're not going there to buy guns. You'll be at a hotel, on the strip, I assume? Short drive to Discount, The Gun Store, Citadel, American Shooters (which is fine as well). As far as buying guns, I've also heard good things about Bargain Pawn (Glen). Have fun, win some money
