I am on a trip cross the states. I think I am pretty confident on where I can and can't carry but am a little confused on Las vegas. Going to be there a week and spend most of it in Las Vegas convention center...possible casino or two and then various other places. From what I can gather unless a gov building I am good to go unless posted. Am I correct with this assuption.

Nevada is a jerk about recognizing out of state permits. As in, you won't be able to carry there.

Nv does recognize a few states permits. The Convention Center is off limits even tho the SHOT show is held there.

Thank you. I found on ar 15 the response that it is owned by the city or something like that. I am gathering casinos are if posted??

Las Vegas NV; Cops....

I've never been or lived in metro Las Vegas NV. I looked into a federal LE position in the early 2000s & considered requesting Vegas due to the casinos/tourism but I also heard a lot of - things about living there. :uhoh:
I have seen a few episodes of the Fox/Spike series Cops where they were in North Las Vegas & Clark County.
The resorts/casinos seem fairly strict about weapons & trespass authority. If you get caught with a firearm even with a valid CCW you could be subject to a formal trespass.
To my knowledge(and not just the hit NBC series; Las Vegas :D ), many of these casinos & hotels collate/share data or BOLOs(be on the lookout).
Not just for card cheats or low level thieves but security issues as well. :uhoh:
Some places are stricter than others but I wouldn't risk it.

Posted signs at the entrance to Gov owned/operated buildings, child care facilities, and school/university have legal weight and you can not legally carry within those buildings.

Las Vegas Convention Center is owned/operated by Clark County Gov. Which means you can not carry within the convention center.

Casinos are private property. Posted signs have no legal weight. Which means you can legally carry within. But, if you are discovered carrying, they can ask you to leave the property under NV trespassing laws. Therefore, keep it concealed.

From personal experience, if hotel/casino security discovers you have a firearm they will do one of the following:
1. Ask you to leave.
2. Ask you to secure the firearm with them (hotel/casino security).
3. Ask you to secure the firearm in your vehicle.
4. Ask you to secure the firearm in your room.
5. Ask you to keep it concealed.
