I'd like to arrange a open carry trash pick up meet n greet next month, probably the 16th or 17th. Not enough open carry activism in Las Vegas and I believe this would help get the word out.

The suggested trash pick up location is E. Lake Mead and N. Bruce St, right by the local PD.

If anyone would like to participate or has suggestions, feel free to post them. This is less than a week away and I'd really like to set something up!

Thank you!

Me neither, but how else do we spread the word and let people know about open carry?

I wouldn't go at it alone, but with a decent sized party split up into grounds of 3 or 4 might help things out.

NLV has a rep of being the "ghetto" part of the valley (The Valley encompasses Summerlin, Vegas, North Vegas, Henderson, Sloan, Blue Diamond, Winchester, Enterprise, Mount Charleston, Sunrise Manor, Whitney/East Las Vegas, Spring Valley, Arden, I think thats it) and the NLV LEOs have a rep of being... well... I can't say it on here.

It's the place where people prefer to NOT live... like Maryvale or downtown in Phoenix. The Compton of the Valley.

Just a crappy place to live, but I don't really have a fear of OC'in there. I fear the police more than the criminals.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm-maybe...

It's a little cheeky, far as the NLV PD and situation-context in general, but...maybe...I might join in...depends on Work obliges...

Bring 'Blue Cards' and lotsa low-key easy-goin' manners, for sure...

Were you planning on notifying NLV PD of the 'event'? Ya never know, they might like it! Long as they feel included, respected...

Yup, I fear NO criminal, they don't have backup and laywer unions.

Speedway cops in Indianapolis,
North Vegas cops,
Compton/Long Beach "South Central" cops,
Chicago 'East Side' cops (that would be South and East actually)

These are just a few of the police departments I've had dealings with in the handcuff, restraint and pressure point martial arts classes we teach,
And to hear the stuff that comes from their own mouths is astonishing!

Most of the cops form these jurisdictions offered to take us out 'On The Town' with them after the seminars,
Always ordered the most expensive of everything, including nice restaurants and strip joint/bars, and NEVER paid a check, and talked about doing things that would send an average person to jail for life like it was nothing to them.

There are places I fear the police.

Heck, I wish we could organize that here. I'd participate. If vegas wasn't the distance it is from here, I'd drive. Cops would be the only group I'd be afraid of. For anyone else, who is going to mess with a group of guys with guns? Get the cops involved and get ur done.

Well, if you guys can make, it would certainly help get OC known.

Under the 1st amendment, we can peacebly assemble and aint gotta tell no one, and no one has to be in charge, so there is no "pointing fingers" or having a single person that can "take the fall".

Good manners and blue cards would be nice to have :D

I suggest Sunday May 17th because people want their saturday off (sleep in, be lazy, have a whole day off). Sunday is the "do day", go to church, the kids are out with friends, and if someone does indeed get arrested, they MAY only have to spend a night in jail.

Well guys, if interested...

Open Carry Day - May 17th, around 10:30 - 11am at the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 190 W. Craig. Then we'll head from there to Bruce and Lake Mead at about 12:30pm - 1pm. Water and soda will be provided for free.
