My vision isn't great and I am considering accessories to help with it, especially at night. For context, I am looking at stuff around $100 to place on an SKS using a scout mount from scoutscopes.com (goes in the position of the rear iron sight and forward).

- What is the range of a laser rifle accessory? Can it be seen a 100m? At night? During the day?

- Do illuminated sights mean that the whole image illumination is adjustable? Or just the aiming reticle?

Red lasers can be seen maybe 15-25 yards in bright sunlight, depending on the target.
They almost disappear in a few feet in green foliage during the day.

Several hundred yards in the dark in clear air.

Illuminated sights only vary the brightness of the reticule or dot.
