Laser: grip or rail mounted for a handgun?

Should a laser sight on a SD handgun be rail mounted or grip mounted?

I like Crimson Trace grips. I'd save the rail for a light or use a First Light Liberator in the weak hand.

I'm not a big fan of lasers on guns. But I see their use, and I'm less of a fan of rails on handguns. So another vote for Crimson Trace.

Grips. Don't have to get a new holster that way, and there isn't as much added bulk.

Grip only. That way it won't get in the way of the bipod, Surefire, forward grip, red dot, night vision device and suppressor mounted on the four Picatinny rails on the barrel.
