I feel a calm before the storm. And I do not live in the US.

Yet...

Every case I have is now loaded with an known accurate load for the caliber. Have also bought additional ammo, powder, primers and cases.

Somehow I am very worried. Please tell me it is paranoia, and a global financial meltdown is not going to happen...

It ain't gonna happen. Now, let's pray I'm right!

It could happen easily, but I think we will avoid it. I have my usual stock of reloads for shooting, and my regular stock of "rainy day" ammo. No more, no less.

I am waiting for the guns and ammo market to settle down, die, and prices come down. At the gun show this weekend the prices were mostly still up, although one guy had a warehouse worth of ammo at good prices, and there were a few good deals on guns. Too bad I am broke.

Folks were not buying like they were at the last show when prices were as bad or worse. I think it will stay that way awhile and then dealers will adjust because sales are way down, almost stopped.

People will be shooting up stocks of ammo and reloading supplies instead of buying. Those dealers will feel the pinch when there record profits are spent, and will lure us once again with good prices.

I believe the worst of the shortages are over, or will be shortly. There may be another "black gun" ban or hi-cap mag ban tried so military weapons prices will stay up, but reloading supplies will drop in the Spring as supplies catch back up.

One thing for sure, the gun stores are loving this, so expect them to stay with the "better buy now" sales pitch for a while longer.

I bet I have less than two boxes of 12 gauge shells around here somewhere, but then all I have is a pre war Winchester double barrel. I do need a good defensive shotgun, one of these days. :)

I only have a crappy fabarms... but I do want enough ammo to keep it fed.

You might be surprised by the pre-war win.

Oh, it shoots great, I just don't have a lot of ammo for it. I need to pick some up. It's full choke barrel will reach way out there. :D

Horse Hocky. I have seen the nice rifle you posted pics of. ;)

I've been telling the kids to buy as much .22 ammo everytime they go to walmart for sometime now. Did they do it? No. After all, what does this old fahrt know anyway?

sorry guys, absolutely nothing to do with handloading
