I see no reason not to shoot it. Almost 40 years old and he still only paid about 1/2 what a current gun sells for. I don't see it increasing in value in the next 40 years anymore unfired than fired.
In my years on the street we were issued a different shotgun every day from a mix of Remingtons and Mossbergs.... Don't think I've ever seen one in new condition before (and those daily issued weapons were in the seventies...). That's a great purchase.
I always enjoy guns more when they get used. SHOOT IT! It might not be your go-to trap gun, but it might be fun to run some training drills with it. Very nice buy.
